In design class we had to pick an architect and research about his/her design, concept and ideas. And i got Emillio Ambasz -.-

At first I thought to myself, who is this guy that i'm studying about? To be honest I've never heard of this guy. But later on when i FINALLY started researching on him he's quite interesting. Most of his designs are based on green architecture, but the thing that really caught my eye was Casa de Retiro Espiritual.

And it is with this design that caught the international attention.

His design really opened up my eyes, its astonishing what one can do if he really wants to and whats important about this design is that it is based on green architecture.

Back in Perak again, brought a few things along like Krispy Kreme!

I almost missed my bus just to buy a couple of doughnuts but it was worth it.

It tasted great (Duhh!) and making that somebody smile was icing on a cake :D

Also, it turns out we moved back to our 01 studio and it was great.

Finally that feeling of working in a studio is back again.

Well since i'm in Perak again its all off to assignments and studying.

My first paper is on wednesday and i'm burning the midnight candle for it.

im in public speaking class right now,
been a while since i last updated my blog.
im getting headaches just thinking about "DESIGN",
i have to submit 7 dulang of work this monday.
but i guess thats normal at my level.
and i know getting back home tomorrow will somehow help me,
though its hard to leave perak right now :)

Why does BUILDINGS in the past still stand until now?

Heres a QUESTION asked by my history lecturer EN. FIRDAUS...

HOW COME BUILDINGS FROM THEPASTARE STILL STANDING UNTILL NOW??

Well in my own oppinion, the buildings are still standing because it was mostly built byROCKS. There weren't any bricks in the olden days, only big rocks or boulders. So in my oppinion the masons cut the rocks so it they would be able to use it in buildings. Anyway rocks last fora very long time so thats why buildings in the past are still standing up until now..

Conclusion, buildings that are built using rocks could last for a very long time.

OK hehe im finally posting this assignment. It took awhile but im finally posting it hehe

First of all im gonna start by saying, finding references for this place was quite tricky but I did find a few but wished i could've found more.

Sumur Gumuling has its own philosophy. One of it is based on its architecture, there is only one main entrance to Sumur Gumuling, thus meaning when we go into Sumur Gumuling we will be going out through the same way we got in. I thought of it as weird at first and dangerous becouse there is no escape route but later i found out that the reason they built it that way is because they wanted to show that humans live and will eventually die but in the end we will still return to god. The meaning itself is shown in the middle of the building. There are stairs with 5 steps heading towards the second level but with that they were trying to symbolize the 5 Rukun Islam. Its actually quite hard to understand myself because the source i got was in indon but when u read it you will get the picture yourself hehe

First of all my name is Azizul Asaad Bin Azizul Halim. Currently staying in SEKSYEN 9 SHAH ALAM. My dad is Azizul Halim B. Yahya, works at UMK (University Malaysia Kelantan) as the TNC over there but he was formerly the PNC of UiTM. He's at Kelantan right now because he was secunded there but he will be back after three years . My mum on the other hand is working in damansara KL. Her name is Zairuni Bt. Saad. She works as a senior copywriter at Y&R (Young and Rubicams an advertisement company). My parents both graduated from UiTMs MassComm. My dad is from Sentul, Gombak and my mum is from Mata Ayer, Perlis. I have two younger brothers, Azizul Aiman and Azizul Aizat.

I studied in Loughborough, England at the age of 5 until 10. I was practically raised there because when i got back i forgot all my malay haha. Had many great friends there like Mark, Sean, Andrew, David, Lisa, Melissa and Sarah. Wonder what happened to you guys (miss you where ever you guys are). It was a great experience there and when i got back i finally realised how big a diference it is over here and over there. After that, i started school in Malaysia and was it different then the schools at England. I still remembered i cried the first day of school here crying out that i want to go back to England, the kids here didnt know what i was blabbering about that time but after awhile its ok hehe once you get to know a few people that is.

When i reached form 4 i met with Maliha and Wanis. We were in the same class but didnt actually thought that we will still be together until now furthermore we're also neighbours haha BIG COINCIDENCE. Had my UPS and DOWNS in life but i guess its pretty normal.

Well that's all about me hope all of you like it. Will write more soon.
